A day with my sisters

Because Kirsy and Johan stay so far (Ellis Rus) we dont get a chance to spend a lot of time together, so it's always nice when we are able to and we tend to go a little crazy :) Or in our terms Normal....

The Parlotones @ Carnival City

Mom bought these tickets awhile ago and it's an outing we have been looking forward to. An evening out - as adults - with mom, dad, Alise and Garth. A little family bonding time:)

Alise ready to go
The evening started out with a little bit of excitement - while we were stopped at the robot around the corner from Carnival City, we witnessed a little bit of drunkeness and road rage and stupidity - these three never mix well together. But it made for a good laugh and was a hot topic for awhile.

The Parlotones on Stage
The evening however ended sadly with my handbag being stolen, with my purse, phone and camera inside. So these are unfortunatey all the pics we have of the evening, and as my mom says, hopefully one day we will be able to see the end of a Parlotones concert. Regardless of how the evening ended we had a great time.

Easter Egg Hunt

So we had an easter egg hunt with a little difference this year.... We spent all day at the beach and the kids hunted for their eggs at night. Glow in the dark eggs with UV torches.... they had fun!

Excitement and fresh air is exhausting.

Boats, Beach and Dancing

We were woken up @ 6:30am by Debbie jumping on us, shouting about missing the fishing boats being launched..... Reluctant to get up at 6:30am we did anyway and made our way down to Hibberdene Main Beach. Only to find out much later what all the comotion was about: This was the Hibberdene Couta Classic - an anual fishing competition, which saw 319 Anglers and 128 Boats compete.

The happy campers on the beach :)

We were happy to find a cup of Wimpy coffee on the beachfront and the kids were drinking slush puppies @ 7:30am... Great to be on holiday.

Then we went through to Margate and spent the day on the beach..... Eating pizza for lunch.... without the sand...

After a day on the beach it was home to shower and change and time for supper and a bit of dancing @ Mzimayi River Lodge.

We danced and sang and sat around chatting until they switched the lights off - I think they were wanting us to leave. It was 2 in the morning
